We are spearheading "Positive Motion," a transformative strategic agenda dedicated to decarbonizing our revenue sources and fostering sustainable growth. To support this vision, we are seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor – Trading to join our legal team in Madrid. This is not a generalist role; it is a high-impact position for a legal expert who lives and breathes the day-to-day dynamics of energy commodities and decarbonization.

The Responsibilities we’ll trust you with

• Front-Office Legal Partnership: Act as the primary legal point of contact for the Gas & Power trading desks, providing real-time advice on commercial structures and market regulations.
• Advanced Contract Negotiation: Lead the drafting and negotiation of EFET Agreements including individualized annexes, Master Agreements, LNG and NG spot supply agreements, and ISDA and CMOF agreements.
• Green Commodities & Biomethane: Drive the legal framework for our Biomethane business, managing feedstock supply contracts, and the specialized trading of Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) and sustainability certificates.
• Market Operations: Oversee the legal requirements for participation in European gas hubs (TTF, PVB, etc.) and power exchanges (OMIE, EEX), ensuring seamless day-to-day commercialization.
• Regulatory Steering: Navigate complex REMIT, MiFID II, and EMIR requirements specifically tailored to gas and electricity trading.
• Structured Transactions: Support the structuring of PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), ensuring robust risk mitigation.

What are we looking for?

We seek a results-driven professional with sharp interpersonal skills who thrives in the high-pressure, fast-paced environment of energy markets.

Education & Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Law (specialization in Energy Law or International Commercial Law is highly valued).
• 5+ years of experience strictly focused on Energy Trading (in-house at a Utility/Trading House or in a top-tier Energy law practice).
• Gas & Power Day-to-Day: Proven track record in the daily lifecycle of gas and power commercialization (not just high-level advisory).
• Biomethane Knowledge: Prior experience with Biomethane contracts and the regulatory landscape of renewable gases.

Languages & Competencies:

• Languages: Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to coordinate across diverse cultures and departments.
• Agility: A multidisciplinary mindset with the ability to manage complex, simultaneous operations under tight deadlines.
