We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Audit Intern to join our team at Welcome U. This role offers an excellent entry-level opportunity to learn how we maintain the integrity of our operations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. As an intern, you will assist the team in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across our organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support senior auditors in conducting reviews of financial and operational processes, learning how to identify potential risks and contribute to recommendations for efficiency and compliance. This position offers an outstanding foundation for professional growth within a dynamic and supportive environment, providing hands-on exposure to corporate governance and ethical business practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of internal audits following established auditing standards and frameworks.

• Support the team in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.

• Help identify risks and operational inefficiencies by organizing data and collaborating with team members on corrective actions.

• Learn to monitor and verify compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Contribute to the preparation of audit reports by organizing findings, drafting summaries, and tracking follow-up actions.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by conducting research and gathering insights based on audit results.

• Stay eager to learn about industry regulations and emerging risk management trends.

Qualifications and Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong interest or academic foundation in internal auditing, risk management, or compliance (prior coursework is highly valued).

• Strong analytical mindset and organizational skills with great attention to detail.

• Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate observations and ask the right questions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and an eagerness to learn specialized audit software.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Knowledge of French is strongly valued.
