Role Overview

As a Biomethane Project Owner, you will take the helm in driving strategic business development for a portfolio of high-impact projects, steering them from initial concept through to the Final Investment Decision (FID). Your role is vital in forging and strengthening new partnerships with key industry stakeholders, fostering collaborative growth and innovation within the renewable energy sector.

You will serve as the central coordinator within the organization, integrating efforts across critical departments including Engineering, Permitting, Trading, Finance, and Legal. Your comprehensive vision combined with your exceptional management skills will ensure each project milestone is successfully achieved, converting strategic plans into competitive market realities in the energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate support for negotiating strategic development agreements with project promoters, ensuring alignment with company goals and stakeholder interests.
• Develop detailed action plans incorporating timelines, key milestones, risk management frameworks, and responsibility allocation to optimize project progress.
• Monitor project advancement rigorously, validating outcomes and facilitating critical decision-making to overcome obstacles and maintain momentum.
• Prepare comprehensive financial analyses, risk assessments, and robust business cases to support investment committee approvals and strategic funding decisions.
• Contribute actively to the development and execution of the company's biomethane strategy, identifying opportunities for innovation and market expansion.
• Manage relationships with key external partners, nurturing collaboration to accelerate business growth and project success.
• Lead commercial workflows and coordinate operations related to M&A activities aimed at acquiring projects in various development stages.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background: University degree in Engineering or Business, demonstrating solid foundational knowledge.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in project development management within infrastructure, particularly in renewable energy or oil and gas sectors, showing hands-on expertise and leadership.
• Specific experience and knowledge in biomethane projects, illustrating sector relevance and technical comprehension.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, enabling seamless communication in a global context.
• General engineering knowledge, with an understanding of basic principles and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) processes.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with proactive problem-solving skills and an innate ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
• Additional language skills such as French or Arabic are considered advantageous, enhancing diverse stakeholder engagement.
