Within this strategy, Trading plays a key role in optimizing value across both traditional hydrocarbons and future energy molecules.

We are looking for a Middle Office Analyst to support the Crude and Products trading desks, ensuring robust P&L and risk oversight while acting as a key business partner to Front Office and senior management.

The responsibilities we'll trust you with

• Support daily P&L, exposure, and risk reporting for the Crude and Products trading desks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Trading limits and governance.
• Provide independent analysis and clear insight into portfolio performance, value drivers, and risk exposure.
• Partner closely with Traders to support complex deal modelling and effective risk management.
• Collaborate with Commercial Risk, Back Office, Finance, Legal, Operations Risk, and IT to maintain a strong control environment and efficient trading operations.
• Monitor internal trading limits, ensuring appropriate governance and documentation.
• Contribute to process, systems, and reporting improvements to enhance controls, transparency, and decision-making.
• Support monthly performance reviews and contribute to strategic projects and commercial integration initiatives across Trading.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within a commodity trading environment (Middle Office, Front Office, Risk, Operations, or similar).
• Understanding of physical commodity markets and how assets, logistics, locational dynamics, and optionality impact value.
• Experience supporting Crude and/or Refined Products activities.
• Knowledge of ETRM systems, ideally Allegro.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to share the story behind the numbers in a clear and articulate way.
• Demonstratable knowledge of how money is made in Crude & Products trading e.g. experience of blending activity, quality and freight management etc.
• Ability to support projects and coordinate across functions.
