Moeve Trading is a fast‑growing energy trading firm leading the Positive Motion strategy, focused on transitioning towards greener and more sustainable revenue sources. Trading plays a key role in maximizing value across both traditional hydrocarbons and new energy flows, supporting the evolution of our global platform.

We are looking for an Applications Development Technician to join our IT Trading Team and contribute to the digitalization and automation of critical trading processes. As part of the Applications Development Team, you will translate business needs into powerful, tailored applications that enhance efficiency, unlock new capabilities, and support the growth of our trading operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Exploitation: Design and build dashboards and web applications using Power BI and web technologies. Create APIs for data extraction and analysis.
  • Process Digitalization: Automate non-structured processes and tasks, enhancing efficiency across the department.
  • Task Automation: Streamline manual workflows to reduce operational burdens.
  • Technology Implementation: Integrate cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and algorithms to enhance decision-making and forecasting capabilities.
  • System Architecture & Security: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure application security, data backups, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Solution Development: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to design and develop solutions that drive digital transformation in Trading.
  • Tech Evolution & Advisory: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, advising on innovations that can enhance trading processes and add value.

 

What You Bring to the Team

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT project development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, data analysis, and relational databases (SQL).
  • Expertise in Python development, including libraries like Numpy, Pandas, and Matplotlib for data manipulation.
  • Experience with structured data and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of Git for version control and API development.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of FastAPI, non-relational databases, and cloud technologies like AWS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • End-to-end application development and serverless computing experience.
